Als onderzoeksprojectleider in het radiochemie team speel je een belangrijke rol bij de ontwikkeling van geavanceerde radiochemische processen ter ondersteuning van de ontwikkeling van verschillende domeinen, zoals recyclage van medische radio-isotopen en kleine modulaire reactoren (SMR).
Jouw gedetailleerde verantwoordelijkheden zijn
* je draagt zelfstandig bij aan projecten binnen de programmalijn radiochemische procestechnologie, waarbij je verantwoordelijkheid neemt voor de resultaten, timing, budget en administratie
* je verzamelt expertise en past deze toe op het gebied van radiochemische processen en pyrochemie in samenwerking met diverse interne groepen en externe stakeholders
* je verzamelt kennis over (elektro)chemische processen bij hoge temperaturen door middel van wetenschappelijke literatuur, deelname aan conferenties en netwerken, en door het leiden van experimentele onderzoeksprojecten
* je ontwerpt en implementeert innovatieve chemische procesinstallaties in samenwerking met het interne studiebureau van SCK CEN
* je organiseert chemische experimenten en bepaalt, optimaliseert en valideert chemische procesparameters
* je leidt de veiligheidsstudies en risicobeoordelingen voor de operationele licenties en vergunningen die nodig zijn om toestemming te krijgen om de experimenten uit te voeren
* je analyseert en verwerkt experimentele resultaten kritisch in interne rapporten, wetenschappelijke publicaties en presentaties op internationale conferenties en projectbijeenkomsten
* je geeft leiding aan een team van gekwalificeerde onderzoekers, ingenieurs en laboratoriumtechnici
* je communiceert efficiënt met alle projectbelanghebbenden, van leveranciers tot klanten Profiel * Master- of PhD-diploma in de domeinen Chemische Technologie, Scheikunde of Nucleaire Technologie
* bewezen track record in het leiden van projecten gerelateerd aan chemisch procesontwerp
* expertise in elektrochemie, gesmolten zout chemie of radiochemie is een sterke troef
* ervaring met ontwerp en ontwikkeling van chemische procesinstallaties of ervaring met handschoenkasten inerte atmosfeer is een troef
* bereid om met radioactieve stoffen te werken in gecontroleerde zones
* creatief, resultaatgericht en zelfstandig
* teamspeler met goede organisatorische en managementvaardigheden, in staat leiding te geven aan een multidisciplinair team in een internationale context
* sterk in het op een begrijpelijke manier samenvatten, rapporteren en presenteren van wetenschappelijke data
