InSquare - Java Backend Developer

For 2 separate clients (Brussels & East-Flanders), we are looking for motivated Backend Java Developers.

As a Backend Java Developer, you will play a crucial role in designing, building, and maintaining the server-side logic and infrastructure of our client's applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop robust and scalable backend systems, enabling seamless user experiences and driving business growth.

Important note: Dutch on level C1 (CEFR) is necessary for this role

Key responsibilities

Backend Development: Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using Java and related technologies.

Database Management: Manage and optimize databases, ensuring data quality, availability, and performance.

Experience with relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, and NoSQL databases is a plus.

API Integration: Develop and integrate RESTful APIs to connect various services and systems.

Performance Optimization: Continuously optimize backend processes to enhance system performance and scalability.

Security: Implement security measures to protect data and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Collaboration: Work closely with frontend developers, DevOps engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.

Testing: Write unit tests and integration tests to ensure the reliability and stability of the backend services.

Documentation: Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation for backend development processes and solutions.

Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve backend issues and bugs in a timely manner.

Qualifications

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Proven experience as a Backend Java Developer or in a similar role.

Proficiency in Java and related frameworks (e.g., Spring, Hibernate).

Strong knowledge of SQL and database management systems.

Experience with RESTful API development and integration.

Familiarity with Version Control systems (e.g., GIT).

Preferred qualifications

Knowledge of MicroServices architecture.

Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

Certifications in relevant technologies.
