Responsibilities

Your main responsibilities will be the following

As a network engineer, you'll have responsibility for setting up, developing and maintaining

Our customer's networks

Responsible for providing support level 3 to our level 2 support team and troubleshoot any problems that arise.

Involve in designing new networks/services together with the network architect.

Ensure the integrity of high availability network infrastructure to provide maximum performance to our customers.

Complete all information's related to the issue and/or configuration in the knowledge of database/documentations.

Excellent knowledge in those environments

Wireless vendors (Cisco, HP, Fortinet)

Security products (FortiGate)

NAC products (Cisco ISE, HP Clearpass, Fortinac,)

Switching vendors (Cisco, Fortiswitch, HP H3c/Aruba)

Deep knowledge in TCP/IP, LAN (VLAN, Dot1q, Spanning-Tree, LACP, HSRP/VRRP, NAC, RADIUS, Layer 2 security features, )

Good knowledge in MPLS, BGP, OSPF, QoS, EVC (Ethernet Virtual Circuit), Bridge- Domain

Automatization and scripting (Perl, Python, Ansible, XML, JSON, )

Participate into presales meetings with the customers to understand the business needs and transform them into network design

Validate quotes from the Sales department of the company on their technical aspects and adequation

to the customers' needs

· Give support to the other company competence centers (UCC / voice / IT / Video & IoT) on network related questions

Relationships

Report to the LAN Competence Center Team Leader

Builds strong team relationships with CC Teams :(W)LAN/UCC/Video & IoT)

Enable to challenge the vendors/partners

The candidate profile

The ideal candidate has the following profile

+ 10 years experience in a technical ICT / Telecom environment

High "core" networking skills (routing, switching, MPLS)

Expertise of network Architecture LAN/WAN

Cisco, Fortinet, HPE or other relevant technical certification is an asset

Good knowledge in one or more of the following areas: Unified communication/VoIP, Call Center, Firewalling

Fluent Dutch and French speaker (essential), knowledge of English

Eager to learn. Technical aptitude to assimilate new learning quickly (essential)

Enjoys sharing knowledge

Flexible: very able to adapt to a changing environment (essential)

Out-of-the-box thinker (essential)

Able to take initiative and drive change (essential)

Performs well under pressure and in disruptive environments where priorities can change in response to customer demand
