D-Network is urgently looking for a Data Governance Manager for a customer based in Brussels.
The function is only open to a salary/ employee (CDI contract).
Our client is a big player of the health, expert in Belgian social security and insurance.
Responsibilities
As an Data Manager, you will be part of a multi-disciplinary team comprising a Data Architect, Platform Engineer, Data Governance Manager, and Cloud Security Engineer.
The department includes four development teams: Cloud Operations (your team), Data Engineering, Advanced Analytics, and Robotic Process Automation (RPA).
To maximize delivered value, these teams are organized into squads, each focused on specialized areas.
The Cloud Operations team is a transversal team which works with every squad and external stakeholders.
Your role will make a contribution to overcome challenges for the department, which is to bring maturity in the software development lifecycle establishing guidelines, frameworks and quality assurance.
The role is to serve Data Manager.
You will serve as a cornerstone in propelling our organization's data platform forward, enabling sustained business velocity.
Leveraging their extensive expertise, they will deliver actionable insights and facilitate informed decision-making across all business teams, driving efficiency and growth through data-driven initiatives.
Required skills
A bachelor/master's degree in computer science or equivalent through experience.
More than 5 years of experience with Data management and governance.
Deep understanding of data privacy laws and regulations (GDPR, EU AI Act..).
Experience with data cataloging tools, metadata management, and data lineage tracking.
Experience in growing the knowledge of employees on data governance best practices.
Ability to conduct thorough audit and reviews of data governance practices.
Broad knowledge of data quality, data integration, data lifecycle, databases and data warehousing solutions.
Fluent in English and/or French.
