Mechanical Design Engineer

For the role of mechanical design engineer (cfd) you will have to combine your technical expertise with innovative thinking.

The main tasks and responsibilities:

• Perform reverse engineering on various components and equipment;
• Utilize FEA (Finite Element Analysis) calculations to assess the mechanical integrity and structural performance of certain components;
• Perform performance calculations using 1D mean-line and 3D CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) techniques;
• Analyse and interpret results from calculations to identify areas for potential performance enhancement;
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate improvements and enhancements into existing designs;
• Contribute to the development of best practices and innovative methodologies within the field of rotating equipment design and performance.

In order to perform efficiently the role of mechanical design engineer (cfd), you will need:

• Master's degree in mechanical engineering or aerospace engineering;
• Proficiency in reverse engineering methods and tools (Preferred but not a must);
• Proficiency in 3D design methods and tools (Inventor, Catia, Creo).
• Experience with FEA software (e.g., ANSYS) for structural analysis;
• Familiarity with 1D mean-line and 3D CFD (e.g., ANSYS) techniques for performance evaluation;
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data;
• Innovative mindset with a proactive approach to identifying and solving challenges;
• Solid understanding of fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and mechanical principles;
• Effective communication skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams;
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
