The IT Asset Officer oversees the full lifecycle of IT assets within a public sector organization, ensuring effective governance, compliance with public procurement regulations, and alignment with strategic digital initiatives. The role ensures transparency, cost-efficiency, and sustainability in managing IT Hardware, software, and licensing assets. Key responsibilitiesMaintain a centralized and accurate inventory of all IT assets (Hardware, software, licenses).Ensure asset lifecycle management in accordance with public sector procurement and disposal regulations.You are fluent in French and Dutch with good knowledge of EnglishMonitor software licensing to guarantee compliance and avoid legal or financial risk.Collaborate with procurement, Finance, and internal audit teams to ensure transparent and compliant asset acquisition and tracking.Implement policies and procedures related to asset registration, usage, and decommissioning.Coordinate asset audits and reconcile discrepancies in asset records.Provide reports to support internal and external audits, financial planning, and decision-making.Support digital transformation and sustainability goals through optimized asset use and responsible disposal.Promote awareness and adherence to IT asset management practices across departments.
