NTT DATA is currently looking for a Data Scientist for one of our clients in the public sector based in Brussels. This role can be performed in a hybrid working mode between the office and homeworking.
Role
Provide data-driven solutions to management for decision facilitation
Provide advice based on Machine Learning and data mining
Transform, enrich and archive operational business data
Responsibilities
Responsibility domain 1: Implementing adequate and innovative solutions in the field of advanced analytics to achieve an up-to-date technology work environment.
Tasks within this domain:
Take stock of the current work environment
Co-define the team objectives together with the team lead and help realise them
Migrate the working environment (on-premise) to a cloud environment.
Support colleagues with less experience in performing their tasks
Shaping architecture for quality data analysis
delivery : Ensuring that the Cloud environment is operational
Responsibility domain 2: Help define data mining business objectives. Task in this domain:Guide the information/Business Analyst in translating the business needs. delivery : Formulate the data mining business objectives using epic report or tool.
Responsibility domain 3: Implementation of data mining model.
Tasks in this domain:
Identification and control authentication and authorisation of data sources.
Data transformation
Data exploration
Developing models
Evaluate and optimise models
Implementing and maintaining the model
Delivery: Usable results based on the data mining model
Profile
At least 5 years relevant experience
Master´s Degree
Statistical background and good knowledge of analytical models
Communicative
Problem-solving skills
Analytical skills
Ability to work independently

Creative
Innovation-oriented
good in giving presentations
IT Skills:
SQL
Machine Learning and AI techniques
Python
Knime (desirable)
Language: Dutch or French as native language and a passive understanding of the other national language
