NTT Data is currently looking for Linux support specialist for a public company in Brussels. This role can be performed hybrid between the office and homeworking

We are looking for an experienced Linux Support Specialist to join our team and provide long-term support for our Appian platform. The ideal candidate will have strong Linux administration experience and in-depth knowledge of the Appian platform.

Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day support and maintenance for the Linux servers hosting the Appian platform

Diagnose and resolve technical problems relating to the Linux infrastructure and the Appian platform

Carry out regular system and application updates to ensure security and performance

Work with development teams and other departments to resolve complex problems

Document procedures and solutions for recurring problems

Participating in the planning and execution of infrastructure improvement projects

Guaranteeing the cybersecurity of our applications and environments by ensuring that they are as secure as possible

Establishing standards and specifications to automate server management as far as possible

Profile

Skills:

Significant experience in Linux systems administration (Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu, etc.)

In-depth knowledge of the Appian platform and its components

Scripting skills (Bash, Python, etc.) to automate common tasks

Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical problems

Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Qualifications:

Degree in computer science, engineering or related field

Linux certifications (RHCE, Lfcs, etc.) desirable

RedHat Enterprise Linux Advanced Server 8 certification

RedHat Linux servers management tools (e.g. Ansible)

Open LDAP and Samba

Backup and restore solution in a Linux environment (For example: CommVault)

Virtualisation solutions in a Linux environment (RHEL, KVM, VMware, etc.)

Open Source products for servers (OpenShift, Docker, Prometheus, etc.)

In-depth knowledge of Appian

Previous experience in a similar long-term support role

Languages: Dutch, French and English
