Data Platform Engineer - Azure Storage & Azure Database
We are looking for a highly skilled Data Platform Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing our Azure Storage (Adls Gen2, Delta Lake) & Azure Database (Azure SQL) solutions. The primary focus of the role will be to provide a robust platform, taking care of DRP, performance, and security. Additionally, a specific focus will be on security and access management, where a new security strategy will need to be defined on how we provide access.
Responsibilities
Manage and maintain Azure Storage (Adls Gen2, Delta Lake) & Azure Database (Azure SQL) solutions
Optimize performance of the platform by identifying and resolving bottlenecks
Ensure high availability and disaster recovery of the platform
Define and implement a new security strategy for access management
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of platform goals with business objectives
Monitor and troubleshoot issues related to the platform
Design and implement automation solutions to streamline platform management processes
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies related to Azure Storage and Azure Database
Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
Strong knowledge & experience (+3y) of Azure Storage (Adls Gen2, Delta Lake) & Azure Database (Azure SQL)
Experience with security and access management and being able to take the lead in defining the access & security strategy of the platform.
Experience in performance optimization and DRP setup
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
