Onze klant is een vooraanstaande speler in de engineering sector, betrokken bij het Decarb Flat Europe project, dat gericht is op het optimaliseren en automatiseren van data- en rapportageprocessen. Ter ondersteuning van hun ambitieuze doelstellingen, zoeken zij een ervaren Data Modeling Expert met een pragmatische aanpak en diepgaande kennis van datamodellering en databasebeheer.

Functie-informatie
In het kader van het Decarb Flat Europe project verwerkt onze klant gegevens en rapportages uit diverse systemen zoals SAP, Sdx, en van verschillende Oems en Epcm. Deze gegevens zijn voornamelijk beschikbaar in Excel-formaat of via interfaces (AM SAP) en omvatten verschillende soorten inhoud zoals financiële gegevens, urenregistratie (T&M), FTE staffing info, P6 planningsinformatie, document review van openstaande issues, bestellingen, enzovoort.
Momenteel wordt een maandrapport in Power BI gegenereerd, waarin Excel-gegevens worden gebruikt om grafieken en rapportages te maken. Samen met de IT-afdeling is het doel om deze rapportage verder te automatiseren en een robuust datamodel te ontwikkelen dat de verschillende Excel-bestanden samenbrengt op basis van een standaard primaire sleutel.

Taken en verantwoordelijkheden
  • Ontwikkelen van een uitgebreid datamodel dat gegevens uit diverse Excel-bestanden kan integreren.
  • Zorgen voor afstemming van het datamodel over verschillende bronnen met gebruik van standaard primaire sleutels.
  • Bouwen en beheren van databases, met ervaring in SQL Server en Big Data databases.
  • Samenwerken met de business lead om ervoor te zorgen dat het datamodel aan de doelstellingen en vereisten van de organisatie voldoet.
  • Automatiseren van bestaande maandelijkse rapporten in Power BI om een meer gestroomlijnde en efficiënte rapportage te realiseren.
  • Levering van functionele en praktische oplossingen die direct toepasbaar zijn.
  • Documenteren van de processen en procedures voor toekomstige referentie en training van het interne team.

Wat verwachten wij van jou?
  • Minimaal 5 jaar ervaring in datamodellering en databasebeheer.
  • Aantoonbare ervaring met SQL Server en Big Data databases.
  • Ervaring met het integreren van gegevens uit diverse Excel-bestanden en andere bronnen.
  • Expertise in het gebruik van Power BI voor rapportage en data visualisatie.
  • Sterk probleemoplossend vermogen en in staat om pragmatische, functionele oplossingen te bieden.
  • Uitstekende communicatieve vaardigheden in het Engels.
  • Vermogen om zowel zelfstandig als in teamverband te werken.
  • Bereidheid om te reizen tussen Gent en Luxemburg, indien nodig.
