Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Construction Package Supervisor to join our client’s on site team in Belgium. This role focuses on overseeing the delivery of a large-scale data centre project, ensuring all activities align with project specifications, safety standards, and timelines. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, with a focus on MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing), and the ability to monitor progress, resolve issues, and collaborate effectively with various stakeholders to ensure the successful completion of the project.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist in the delivery of a substantial construction project, ensuring it is completed on time, within budget, and meets all quality standards.
• Contribute to key meetings to monitor progress and collaborate on problem-solving with relevant stakeholders.
• Implement and monitor project procedures, ensuring adherence to agreed processes throughout the lifecycle of the project.
• Ensure effective implementation of project processes, collaborating with clients to identify improvements and revisions.
• Be a visible participant on-site, assessing progress and ensuring compliance with safety standards and best practices.
• Produce weekly action plans for critical activities and work with all stakeholders to ensure timely completion.
• Review and assess proposed variations and delays in the work, communicating impacts and resolving issues as needed.
• Coordinate with the client team, consultant team, and contractor to ensure smooth completion of snagging activities and maintain project schedule.
• Implement and enforce health and safety procedures, conducting regular site inspections and safety meetings to minimise risks and maintain a safe work environment.
• Oversee contractor operations on-site, ensuring they follow project specifications, schedules, and safety standards.
• Monitor the quality of materials and workmanship, ensuring compliance with engineering standards and project requirements.
• Address on-site challenges, such as equipment malfunctions or unexpected conditions, and provide regular progress reports to project managers.
Qualifications
• Proven experience in project management with a focus on MEP or related construction disciplines.
• A degree or equivalent experience in project management or a construction discipline.
• Project management professional certification or a willingness to pursue one (we can assist).
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
• Ability to excel in a collaborative, team-oriented, and supportive environment.
• A proactive approach to building strong relationships with clients, contractors, and team members, fostering a sense of shared purpose and success.
