responsabilités
You will join the Group Accounting and Tax department, reporting directly to the Group Tax Manager. In this role, you will be involved in various tax operations and play a key part in ensuring compliance with both group and local tax regulations. Your responsibilities will include implementing tax strategies, enhancing digitalization in tax processes, and providing support for business projects that involve tax-related questions.Responsibilities
- Prepare and review indirect and direct tax obligations, ensuring timely and accurate filing for CIT, DTA, WHT, VAT, and other indirect taxes
- Support the management and optimization of the group transfer pricing policy, ensuring compliance with reporting obligations (CbC report, CbC notification, LF, MF, etc.)
- Engage in tax implementation projects to ensure business readiness regarding local and global tax developments (Pillar 2, BEFIT, CBAM, CFC, etc.)
- Propose innovative solutions and execute processes to mitigate tax risks and develop tax automation capabilities
- Monitor and implement tax incentives within the organization
- Assist the tax team during audits and collaborate with external advisors on various tax-related matters
- Provide general tax advice to other departments, including accounting, controlling, legal, and HR, ensuring timely and effective resolution of tax issues
- Monitor changes in tax laws and assess their impact on the organization
- Participate in projects involving tax matters, such as business transformation, IT developments, and process automation
qualifications
- Masterâs degree in Law with a focus on Tax, or a Masterâs degree in Economics with a strong interest in tax and legal matters
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in an international environment
- Reliable, professional, and acting with integrity
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to understand complex tax issues and provide clear, pragmatic advice
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both oral and written
- Creative and innovative mindset, with a willingness to engage with SAP S4/HANA (previous experience is a plus)
- Proficient in Excel and Word
- Eager to learn about tax in the energy sector and adapt to the specific contingencies of a regulated environment
- Fluent in French and/or Dutch, and English
