For our client, one of Europe’s fastest-growing high-tech manufacturing groups, we are looking for a Maintenance & Equipment Engineer to support the production of advanced infrared camera systems in Tienen, in the Greater Leuven Area.
In this hands-on engineering role, you will help keep production equipment reliable and available. You will investigate technical problems directly on the production floor, support preventive and corrective maintenance, and implement practical improvements as the manufacturing site continues to grow.
Your Responsibilities
- Support the day-to-day availability and reliability of production equipment
- Perform and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and electromechanical equipment issues
- Analyze recurring failures and implement sustainable technical solutions
- Carry out practical equipment adjustments, repairs and improvements
- Support facility systems connected to production, including HVAC and vacuum systems
- Define spare-parts requirements and help establish an effective inventory
- Work with equipment manufacturers, suppliers and external service providers when specialist support is required
- Collaborate closely with Production and Process Engineering to improve equipment performance and reduce downtime
- Contribute to maintenance planning, technical documentation and future equipment investments
Your Profile
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electromechanics, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Automation or a related field
- Around 1–3 years of experience with industrial maintenance, production equipment or technical manufacturing support
- Practical experience with troubleshooting, preventive maintenance or equipment repair
- A hands-on mindset and willingness to work directly with equipment on the production floor
- Broad technical understanding across mechanics, electricity, sensors, pneumatics or automation
- A structured approach to identifying root causes and preventing recurring equipment failures
- Experience with HVAC, vacuum systems, cleanrooms or semiconductor equipment is an advantage, but not required
- Good English skills; knowledge of Dutch is an advantage
