Accountant

For this SME active in the installation and maintenance of cutting-edge entertainment technology systems, we are looking for an experienced accountant to join their human-sized team. The company wishes to internalize the accounting management of its activities, which until now has been carried out exclusively by an external partner. The role offers a high degree of autonomy and flexibility, increasing responsibilities, and long-term career development opportunities. The position is based in Merchtem. Accountant – The Role The booking of various invoices (AP/AR/bank statements) The preparation of month-end closings & VAT returns The execution of payments to the company's suppliers The follow-up of unpaid invoices Act as point of contact for the external accounting firm The preparation of the annual accounts The continuous improvement of the company's processes in the financial department Accountant – About You You have obtained a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, or in a related field You have at least 2 years of experience in a similar role (SME, large company or in an accounting firm) You are fluent in Dutch and English, French is a plus Accountant – The Offer A competitive salary (3500€ gross – 5000€ gross) based on your experience, including meal vouchers and homeworking expenses The opportunity to join a dynamic, fast-growing company in a niche sector A perfect location, outside of Brussels Flexible homeworking policy: up to 2 days/week of homeworking
