Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced Freelance Senior Accountant to join our client's finance team during a major transformation project.
The role will take ownership of the full accounting process, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance and smooth month-end/year-end closing. This is a hands-on position for someone who can hit the ground running.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full accounting cycle, including AP, AR and GL.
- Lead month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing.
- Manage reconciliations, VAT returns and Belgian tax compliance.
- Support statutory accounts, financial statements and audits.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting and cash-flow reporting.
- Improve finance processes and reporting with internal teams.
Key Requirements
- 5+ years' experience in Senior Accounting or similar.
- Strong Belgian GAAP, IFRS and Belgian VAT/tax knowledge.
- Proven AP, AR and GL experience.
- Strong month-end/year-end closing experience.
- Experience with ERP systems.
- Independent, organised and confident working with stakeholders. xlxgzvr
