Construction Site Supervisor

We are currently looking for a Construction Supervisor that will be working on various projects. Construction Supervisors are responsible for ensuring construction activities are carried out in line with Safety, Quality, schedule and Cost Procedures and Guidelines. Job Description: General: Report to the Package Owner (PO) and Construction Manager (CM) Daily Permanent follow up on site for the HVAC and Building Utilities packages Assist the Package Owner (PO) for control and co-ordinate the work of the contractor Participate to tier 0 and instruct the contractor company Backup CM and superintendent to lead the Tier 0 Participate if needed to the weekly technical meeting with the PO and the contractor Participate to the weekly CM meeting Having a complete understanding of the Package(s) drawings and Specifications Ensure that everyone has had site training Ensure that Quality Policies are implemented and understood by the contractor Working closely together with other team members and especially Safety: Ensure that work permits are in order (check work permit and check in on site) Control PTW signature is done each morning Ensure the permits signature by all parties prior the works and verify the WP conditions true a daily LMRA Make sure fire permits are in order Ensure that safety documents (safety plan), method statements, lifting plans, etc. are in order Participate to the review of RAMS prepared by the contractor in collaboration with the EHS and CM team and give comments Ensure the contractor adhere strictly to the project drawings, specifications, standards and procedures Ensure that the Arcadis Health, Safety, Environment, Security (HSES) is understood by the contractor Perform regular checks on the site for safety Report incidents Planning and cost: Keeping the CM and PO informed of field operations and daily work progress of the work Confirming to PO all information needed to monitor and modify the progress schedule Follow-up of situations that lead to inability to work, eg power failure (contractor report with waiting times and names) Ensure support to the PO for determining whether subcontractors are providing sufficient workforce and hours of work to achieve performance commitments Ensure that reimbursable hours - if applicable - are reported on a daily basis Follow up progress on site and check the progress reported by contractor Check that progress is consistent with baseline Preparing daily reports, job diaries, narratives, and any other document required to monitor the package Daily verify on site the 3 weeks look ahead document and participate to the 3 weeks look ahead weekly meeting. Following Construction: Participation in the preparation and execution of LOTO consignments (LOG OUT / TAG OUT) related to the package Ensure systems are being constructed compliant with the isometrics/layouts for construction To be able to compare the 3D model with the real situation on side trough Naviswork, Dalux Verify on site quality of the work performed by the contractor Report Clashes Ensuring that welding files are in order at all times (WPS, PQR, WQ) Witness mechanical completion checks (eg P&ID checks, slope checks, pressure/flush tests,...) Ensure installation (eg supporting, insulation, painting,...) is compliant with client's specifications Organize in collaboration with the PO all red-line marked drawings and hand-over documentation Obtained copy of the construction logbooks from the contractors Manage scaffolding requests Support package owners during start-up/energization of system Qualifications: A Third Level qualification in an associated discipline 5-12 years experience as a Construction Supervisors in an associated sector (Ideally Pharmaceutical or High tech Industry) Previous exposure of efficiently dealing with internal and external Clients A motivated self-starter with excellent inter-personal, communication and organisational skills Flexibility and adaptability to respond to evolving project / client needs Possesses a high level of problem solving and decision making ability Demonstrable ability to plan, organize and prioritize Strong IT skills with proficiency in associated software packages (Office, Schedule software, Naviswork) Strong attention to detail Customer / Client Service Focused Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environmen Dedication to internal and external Continuing Professional Development Committed to safe working practices on construction sites Large scale, complex industrial projects experience is essential, construction delivery experience within industrial sectors including Food, Life Sciences, Advanced Manufacturing, Life Sciences, Mission Critical & Datacenters, is preferred Experience in the promoting and ensuring exemplary standards of health and safety on large-scale construction projects Flexibility to travel throughout Europe Well-developed time management and prioritizing skills Communication skills, project management skills Ability to work under pressure
