Freelance DevOps and Kubernetes Engineer - Transformational Project - Hybrid
We are seeking an experienced DevOps & Kubernetes Engineer to join a large-scale transformation programme with our Chemical Manufacturing Clients in Antwerp. The role will focus on modernising infrastructure, building scalable container platforms, and enabling automated software delivery through robust CI/CD pipelines.
Responsibilities
Design, build, and support Kubernetes platforms in cloud and hybrid environments.
Develop and maintain containerised applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
Create and optimise CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, deployment, and release processes.
Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform.
Drive DevOps best practices across development and operational teams.
Monitor platform health, performance, reliability, and security.
Support cloud migration and infrastructure modernisation initiatives.
Automate operational processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
Experience
Strong commercial experience with Kubernetes administration and orchestration.
Hands-on experience with container technologies, particularly Docker.
Proven experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code, ideally Terraform.
Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
Experience with Git, source control management, and DevOps tooling.
