Private Equity Investment Associate – Small Cap

About the Role:
On behalf of our client, a leading small-cap private equity firm specializing in the Benelux market, we are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Investment Associate to join their team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the sourcing, execution, and management of investments in small and mid-sized businesses across the region, while also engaging with various legal aspects inherent in the transaction process.
Location: Antwerp, Belgium
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the full lifecycle of private equity investments, from sourcing to execution and portfolio management.
- Conduct financial modeling, valuation analysis, and due diligence on potential investment opportunities.
- Assist in deal structuring, negotiations, and transaction execution, including addressing legal considerations.
- Monitor and analyze market trends to identify attractive investment opportunities in the Benelux region.
- Prepare investment memoranda and present findings to internal investment committees.
- Collaborate with portfolio companies to drive value creation and operational improvements.
Candidate Requirements:
- 2-4 years of experience in M&A, investment banking, private equity, or a related field.
- Strong academic background; a Bachelor's degree is required, and a Master's degree is preferred.
- Proven experience in financial analysis, modeling, and valuation techniques.
- A solid understanding of the Benelux small-cap market dynamics and investment landscape.
- Legal education or legal experience is an advantage.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Fluency in Dutch is mandatory; English proficiency is required.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment.
Location & Flexibility:
This role is based in Antwerp, Belgium. Some travel within the Benelux region may be required.
