Petroleum Inspector

We are looking for a Bunker Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Belgium

BONKENA, an international company specialized in all-round Marine Inspections, is looking for a new Bunker Quantity Surveyor based in Belgium. Marine Bunkers are typically the largest contributor to the operational cost of a ship. Our Bunker Quantity Survey (BQS) team conducts quantitative inspections of marine fuels on board our client's vessels.

The job

1. Performing and reporting bunker quantity measurements of fuel for ships.
2. Taking samples for Bunker Quantity Survey.
3. Following the entire procedure in accordance with BONKENA requirements.

Location

Based in Belgium.

Requirements

1. Proven bunker surveying experience is essential.
2. Recent experience within the maritime sector and experience with quality inspections is a must.
3. Strong mathematical skills.
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
5. Excellent command of English, spoken and written.
6. Strong communication skills and patience.
7. Living in the vicinity of Antwerpen. Due to the nature of the job, we expect flexibility with working outside office hours and weekends.
8. Personal qualities: flexible, honest, stable, dedicated, and steadfast.
