Your new companyHays is partnering with a reputable client active in the technical and IT solutions industry to recruit a Senior Accountant. With several hundred employees worldwide, they combine the stability of a mature group with the dynamic mindset of a tech‑driven environment.Employees describe the atmosphere as supportive, international, and oriented toward both accuracy and innovation.Your new roleAs Senior Accountant, you will take ownership of a broad range of accounting processes, ensuring compliance with BEGAAP and IFRS. Your responsibilities include:Managing general accounting activities: AP, AR, payroll postings, fixed assets, project accounting, revenue recognition, and tax‑related entriesPreparing monthly and year‑end closingsEnsuring accurate statutory and group reportingCoordinating mandatory declarations such as VAT and IntrastatHandling internal and external audit requestsSupporting annual accounts and income tax submissionsPreparing internal reports and intercompany reconciliationsAnalyzing business transactions and identifying potential process improvementsMaintaining clear communication with internal and external stakeholders in Dutch, French and EnglishIn this role, you will act as a key reference point and the right-hand and sparring partner to the CFO.Your profileYou have a solid finance background and feel comfortable taking ownership of end‑to‑end accounting processes. The ideal profile includes:A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or an equivalent fieldAt least 7 years of relevant experience in general accounting, preferably in an international environmentStrong knowledge of BEGAAP and IFRSFluency in Dutch and English, professional level of FrenchExperience with ERP systems; knowledge of BI tools and advanced Excel skills are an asset.A structured, analytical mindset with an eye for accuracyAbility to work independently, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlinesA proactive, solution‑oriented attitude and strong communication skillsWhat you’ll get in returnThe company offers a competitive salary package aligned with your experience.
