Category Manager - Transport & Distribution (Commercial & Clinical Trials)Location: Brussels, Belgium (Hybrid Role)Engagement: FreelanceMSI Pharma is supporting a leading Belgian headquartered Biopharmaceutical company in their search for an experienced Category Manager to manage Transport & Distribution within Patient Supply. This role is critical to ensuring continuity of patient supply and driving best-in-class sourcing strategies across a global network.Key Responsibilities:Develop and implement sourcing strategies for Transport & Distribution to ensure service quality, cost optimisation, and risk mitigation.Lead strategic sourcing initiatives, including RFPs, and deliver value creation projects across functional units.Conduct commercial negotiations and establish Master Agreements with key suppliers.Provide market intelligence, benchmarking, and insights to influence category strategy.Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Quality, Regulatory, Finance, Legal, Sustainability) to align procurement objectives.Manage supplier relationships to achieve long-term value in quality, delivery, cost, and innovation.Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and embed risk management strategies into contracts.Requirements & Key Skills:Proven experience in Category Management within Transport & Distribution or related procurement functions.Strong strategic thinking and ability to deliver category strategies aligned with business objectives.Expertise in contract negotiation, supplier partnerships, and lifecycle management of agreements.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.Proficiency in data analysis and market intelligence for informed decision-making.Knowledge of global market trends, risk management, and sustainability practices.Fluent in English (written and spoken).Ability to manage complex projects and adapt to changing market conditions.Interested?
