Functional AnalystAbout the Role: We are looking for a talented Functional Analyst to join the B2B Belgium Business Platform. This platform is dedicated to serving B2B customers in Belgium. The platform consists of about 180 team members, with 120 focused on business operations and 60 on IS and Data.Role Overview: In this role, you will join our “Data Team” to work on various use cases related to our Data Platform, including Financial Closing reports, Customer Business Reporting, Green Energy Reporting, and regulatory reporting.Key Responsibilities:Serve as a bridge between product owners, internal customers, and the technical Data Team, ensuring clear understanding of business requirements.Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze business needs and translate them into clear data models.Engage with application and source data owners to map out functional data flows, leveraging your technical expertise to ask critical questions.Plan, organize, and execute functional testing, creating concrete test plans and participating in test execution.Tackle complex analytical challenges and provide data-driven insights to support business decisions.Use tools like SQL, Dataiku, and Python to gather and manipulate data.Create reports and visualizations using Power BI to communicate findings effectively.Prepare data products for transition to the service mode, ensuring smooth handover.Contribute to maintaining up-to-date documentation for data products and processes.Provide ad-hoc analysis and support business and financial queries with data-backed answers.Required Skills and Experience:Must-Have:Proven experience in the energy sector, with exposure to SAP ISU (Invoicing).Strong background in the financial sector, particularly with financial closing processes.Proven experience in Functional Analysis and Data Warehouse (DWH) modeling.Strong analytical skills with a proactive, hands-on approach.Ability to work independently and manage tasks autonomously.Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders effectively.Proficiency in SQL, Python, and Power BI.Experience working in Agile methodologies.Nice-to-Have:Familiarity with technical systems such as SAP ISU and SalesForce.Knowledge of monthly financial closing processes.Experience with Agile tools like Azure DevOps.Familiarity with Data platform concepts, particularly in the AWS ecosystem.Interest in Data Science and a hands-on, curious approach to learning.Soft Skills:Must-Have:Strong ability to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions with a focus on design and supportability.Eagerness to dive into business logic, especially related to pricing.Ability to address complex analytical challenges and provide insightful solutions.Flexibility to work on various topics and support business needs across different areas.Strong communication skills, especially when engaging with diverse stakeholders.Team-oriented, with the ability to collaborate effectively across global teams.Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, especially during month-end closings.Strong attention to detail and discipline in documentation practices.Education and Experience:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.5-7 years of experience as a data analyst or in a similar position.Languages:Fluent in either Dutch or French.Fluent in English.If you're passionate about data, the energy sector, and eager to drive meaningful change, we'd love to hear from you#Nexeo #Belgium #Brussels #Data #Functional #Analyst #SQL #Python #PowerBI #Agile #SAP #Azure DevOps #Energy #DWH
