For this project, we are collaborating with a global market leader within the pharmaceutical industry.Job descriptionAs an MSAT Scientist, you will be a key member of the Manufacturing Science and Technology (MSAT) team, contributing to the upstream (USP), downstream (DSP), and Analytical Science and Technology (AS&T) functions. Your role will involve supporting the Life Cycle Management of mammalian cell culture-based drug substance processes across our partner's biologics production network. Our client active in the production of protein based therapies, including monoclonal and multi-specific antibodies, fusion proteins, antibody-drug conjugates and nanobodies.Key Responsibilities:USP Focus: Contribute to the development, optimisation, and scale-up of mammalian cell culture processes, ensuring robust and reproducible upstream production.DSP Focus: Support the downstream processing efforts by optimising purification techniques, ensuring high yields and purity in the final product.AS&T Focus: Aid in the development, improvement, and validation of analytical methods that support both upstream and downstream processes.Design and independently execute experiments, interpret data, and apply findings to enhance process understanding and efficiency.Generate comprehensive scientific/technical protocols, reports, and documentation.Maintain and communicate knowledge within the team, ensuring alignment across USP, DSP, and AS&T activities.Monitor ongoing experiments and data trends to ensure reliability, making adjustments as necessary to optimize processes.Required Competences & Skills:A PhD or masters degree in Life Sciences, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.Expertise in cell culture techniques, purification processes, and analytical method development.Experience with bioprocessing equipment and technologies related to USP and DSP, including chromatography, filtration, and cell culture bioreactors.Strong analytical skills, with a proven ability to handle multiple complex tasks and troubleshoot effectively.Excellent technical writing skills, capable of drafting detailed protocols, reports, and documentation.A thorough understanding of cGMP regulations, with the ability to apply them to both upstream and downstream processes.A strong commitment to quality, accuracy, and results orientation.Exceptional teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across functions.Flexibility and adaptability, with a readiness to embrace change and innovation.A proactive approach to learning, with a willingness to take on new challenges and shift priorities as needed.Ability to manage small-scale studies and support MSAT-driven projects across different stages of the biomanufacturing process.What is offeredMindCapture offers a dynamic and rewarding work environment with a strong focus on long-term relationships built on quality contacts and career insight.
