Medical Affairs Diagnostic Sequencing Associate Consultant

We are looking for an entrepreneurial Medical Affairs Diagnostic Sequencing Associate Consultant to lead the implementation of a global strategy for diagnostic sequencing services at the market leader in molecular diagnostics. This high-impact role focuses on engaging molecular and pathology laboratories across Belgium while securing the support of oncology stakeholders to advance personalized medicine for cancer patients.

This medical affairs role is designed to create the right networks, foster partnerships, and prepare the healthcare ecosystem for tomorrow's personalized therapies. With your efforts, you will shape future cancer therapy strategies, making a tangible difference in patient care.

This is not a pure sales role but a strategic networking opportunity to ensure access to cutting-edge diagnostic sequencing services and lay the groundwork for partnerships in the world of personalized medicine. However, an entrepreneurial, technology and science driven orientation is a must.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute a global strategy to introduce and expand diagnostic sequencing services across Belgium, tailored to the needs of molecular and pathology labs.
  • Implement a push strategy by engaging molecular and pathology labs as key stakeholders in diagnostics.
  • Drive a pull strategy by securing buy-in from oncology experts, focusing on the value of sequencing technology in therapy decisions.
  • Build and strengthen partnerships within the oncology, molecular diagnostics, and pathology ecosystem to advance personalized medicine.
  • Act as a strategic medical expert, supporting access to sequencing services that influence current and future cancer therapy strategies.
  • Collaborate closely with sales and marketing teams to ensure alignment with market access goals, focusing on the strategic and medical objectives of the project.
  • Establish strong relationships with sequencing labs, clinical trial sites, and pharmaceutical companies to create a robust network for long-term partnerships.
  • Prepare the healthcare system for the integration of diagnostic sequencing into personalized cancer therapies, ensuring alignment with patient care needs.

Requirements:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field (life sciences, molecular biology, biotechnology, etc.).

Experience:

  • A total of 3-5 years of experience
  • Good knowledge of sequencing technologies and their role in therapy decision-making is a strong must
  • Background in oncology diagnostics, molecular biology, or medical affairs is advantageous.
  • Experience in building networks and partnerships in diagnostics or related fields.
