(Urban) Design Architect Brussels

As an experienced design architect, you take the lead in designs, from the preliminary study phase & initial design to the planning application.Your Role
  • As a design architect, you work under the guidance of a senior design architect. You also collaborate with colleagues from the interior, BIM, execution, stability, and technical departments.
  • You translate the client-owners needs into an architectural solution. This is achieved through a written description, a sketch, a model, or a Revit design.
  • You guide the project in the right direction to ensure that all necessary preliminary studies and permit applications can be carried out.
  • Once the project is in the execution phase, you, in consultation with the project architect, ensure the aesthetic aspect of the design is maintained.
Your Profile
  • Degree as (engineer-)architect and an impressive portfolio demonstrating at least 5 years of experience.
  • These qualities define you: creative, abstract thinker, perseverant, team player, and proactive.
  • Expertise or an additional degree in urban planning and spatial design is a plus.
  • Interest in working at various scales and a basic knowledge of Revit, or the willingness to invest in learning it.
  • A clear preference for design; your creativity is unmistakably a natural talent.
  • Passionate about architecture and eager to take on challenging, large-scale projects. You are bilingual Dutch-French.
  • Proficiency in Dutch and/or French.

A great agency for your first steps as an architect.

I chose B2Ai because of the major projects. Competitions that involve a certain complexity and layering; that's what I like working on as an architect. In the design team, you get time to research and design a project with a vision, thoroughly. That allows you to use your creativity and explore concepts. Then there are workshops, where we look at each other's designs and brainstorm them. As a trainee, these are educational moments.

Besides work, you will get to know the team well on architectural trips, at architecture cafes, on team building exercises, at after-work drinks or simply over a game of table football. Colleagues become friends. Which makes the workplace still more congenial. All this means that I am still more than happy to have chosen B2Ai.
