Senior Back-End / ServiceNow Engineer – Onsite in Brussels Start Date: May | 6+ Month Contract | OnsiteWe're looking for an experienced Senior Back-End Software Engineer with strong ServiceNow expertise to join our client in Brussels on a long-term contract. If you're passionate about designing smart solutions, improving IT processes, and working in a collaborative, forward-thinking environment, this role is for you. About the RoleAs a Senior Back-End Engineer, you'll bring 5+ years of experience designing and developing backend software applications, with responsibilities including:Interpreting and refining functional and technical designsBuilding program structures and updating design documentationCreating and executing test casesReviewing code (self & peer review)Fixing incidents and defects through to resolutionExecuting technical integration testing with interfacing applicationsAlongside your backend expertise, you will play a key role in ServiceNow process analysis and solution design, supporting core IT functions such as:Asset & Configuration ManagementService Agreements & Release ManagementIncident & Problem ManagementContinuity & Operations ManagementFuture expansion into Vulnerability Management & Pentesting What You'll DoAnalyze, design, and test automations within the ServiceNow platformDesign and test integrations between ServiceNow (cloud) and other systems (on-prem or cloud)Translate business requirements into robust technical designsTroubleshoot complex incidents and ensure platform stabilityCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including the API Gateway teamFocus on architecture, analysis, and problem-solving (no scripting or coding required) Who You Are5+ years of hands-on ServiceNow experience (must)Strong technical foundation with excellent analytical and problem-solving skillsFluent in Dutch and EnglishCurious, eager to learn, and comfortable discussing IT infrastructurePragmatic and solution-driven, aiming for "fit for purpose" resultsBasic understanding of JavaScript fundamentals or another programming language Core CompetenciesAgile methodologies | Analytical mindset | Collaboration | Independence | Problem-solving | Result-driven attitudeIf you're ready to be at the heart of a major ServiceNow transformation and deliver meaningful impact, we'd love to hear from you.Apply or message me directly for more details
