YOUR MISSION: LEAD, CREATE, INNOVATE AND INSPIRE

As ourCreative Lead, you'll be the driving force behindbig ideas, sharp storytelling, and compelling content. Your role goes beyond vision—you'llcoach, challenge, and create, leading by example to push creativity forward. You'll oversee a talented creative team (copywriters, graphic designers, motion designers, and freelancers), ensuringbold, impactful, and on-brandcreative work acrossdigital and social-first projects.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Own the creative vision, ensuring every project stands out, connects, and delivers impact for all our local and international B2B and B2C brands.
  • Balance Art Direction with Copywriting—you're not just about visuals, you also master storytelling and can craft or refine strong, meaningful copy.
  • Lead, mentor & challengeyour team—review their work, push them to go further, and set the creative bar high while staying hands-on and contributing directly.
  • Develop compelling concepts—from first idea to final execution, across video, online & offline activations, design, banners, CRM, social media, influence, and more.
  • Prepare and present ideas to clients, making sure they're as excited about the work as you are.
  • Stay ahead of trends and innovation—not just by following what's new, but by testing, implementing, and experimenting with AI tools and smarter workflows to streamline processes, boost efficiency, and create more space for real creative thinking.
  • Collaborate closely with the business team, making sure creative solutions are strategically aligned with client needs and market opportunities.
  • Help create case studies and celebrate creative wins, whether it's a new campaign launch or a creative breakthrough.
  • Report to the Global Creative Director based in France for the creative part and to the Business Director in Belgium for the day-to-day activities.

WHO YOU ARE:

  • An experienced Art Director with7+ years of experience and a strong copywriting affinity: you know how to shape a message and make words work with visuals.
  • Fluent in digital storytelling: you get the nuances of social media, digital activations, and performance-driven creative.
  • As a hands-on leader: you can coach, inspire, and challenge a team while also rolling up your sleeves when needed.
  • Tech-savvy & AI-proficient: beyond AI tools, you're comfortable with Adobe Suite, Google Suite, and Jira—but more importantly, you're curious and open to using them efficiently.
  • An entrepreneur at heart: you're ready to co-build, take ownership, and help 87seconds grow into its next chapter.
  • A strategic thinker & problem-solver: you don't just create beautiful work; you ensure every idea has impact. You think beyond aesthetics, crafting creative solutions that engage audiences, drive results, and align with business objectives.
  • You'rea native French speaker with fluent English and agood understanding of Dutch. If you'rea native Dutch speaker, yourFrench must be perfectly bilingual, and yourEnglish fluent to collaborate effectively with the clients and team.
  • You have a strong team spirit, no ego and a natural ability to motivate and uplift those around you. You know how to give constructive, positive feedback and genuinely enjoy collaborating, sharing ideas, and pushing creativity further together. THE RECRUITMENT JOURNEY

  • Round 1: First chat with our recruiter: a casual 60-minute online chat to talk about your experience, passions, and what drives you. We'll also tell you more about 87seconds and why we think you'll love it here.
  • Round 2: Meet & Greet at 87seconds:a 60–90 minutes face-to-face session with our leadership team in Brussels. We'll dive deeper into your fit for the role, how you see yourself contributing, and answer any questions you have. If the energy's right, you'll also get to meet our Global Creative Director.
  • Round 3: Case presentation: if we're both excited to move forward, you'll receive a small take-home case to show us your thinking, creativity, and approach.
  • Round 4: Team compatibility check: a final chat with HR and a meet & greet with potential teammates to ensure the vibe, working styles, and team spirit align.
