Location: Brussels, Belgium | Field-based role covering Belgium with regional travel

We are partnering with an innovative and rapidly growing GI MedTech company to appoint a Field Service Engineer covering Belgium. This is a high-impact technical opportunity for an experienced medical device engineer looking to play a key role in supporting the adoption and success of a disruptive technology within the gastroenterology space.

The successful candidate will provide technical expertise across hospitals throughout Belgium, ensuring the successful installation, maintenance, and ongoing performance of the company's advanced GI medical technology.

Working closely with clinical specialists, commercial teams, and hospital stakeholders, the Field Service Engineer will be responsible for delivering exceptional technical support, troubleshooting complex systems, and ensuring customers receive a high level of service throughout the product lifecycle.

This is a field-based position, with responsibility for supporting customers across Belgium, primarily focused around Brussels and surrounding regions.

Key Responsibilities:

Install, configure, and maintain advanced GI medical device systems within hospital environments

Provide on-site technical support, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance for customers

Ensure equipment reliability, performance, and compliance through regular servicing and system checks

Support hospitals throughout the implementation and onboarding process of new technology

Work closely with physicians, nurses, clinical specialists, and hospital engineering teams to resolve technical issues

Deliver technical training and product support to healthcare professionals and hospital staff

Manage service documentation, maintenance records, and customer reports accurately

Collaborate closely with sales, clinical, and customer support teams to ensure a seamless customer experience

Identify recurring technical challenges and provide feedback to internal engineering and product teams

Support product upgrades, installations, and service activities across Belgium and occasional wider European markets

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Field Service Engineer, Biomedical Engineer, Clinical Engineer, or similar technical role

Experience supporting medical devices, ideally within Gastroenterology, Endoscopy, Surgery, or minimally invasive technologies

Strong technical troubleshooting skills across complex electromechanical systems

Experience working within hospital environments and supporting clinical users

Ability to build strong relationships with healthcare professionals and technical stakeholders

Highly organised with strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving

Experience with capital equipment installation, maintenance, and lifecycle management preferred

Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to customers

Fluent Dutch and/or French with strong English communication skills required

Based in Brussels or willing to travel regularly across Belgium
