Role: Lead Solution Architect / Technical Lead

Duration: 6 months (+ extendable)

Role Summary:

We are looking for a senior Lead Solution Architect / Technical Lead to define and drive end-to-end architecture for large, transversal IT initiatives. The role requires a strong combination of enterprise/solution architecture and hands-on engineering experience across mainframe, modern application stacks, cloud, APIs, integration, and data technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own the definition and realization of end-to-end architecture solutions covering functional, non-functional, security and resilience requirements.
• Lead architecture from inception through deployment, working with Requirement Owners, Domain Architects, IT engineers and application authorities.
• Act as the bridge between Enterprise Architecture and engineering teams, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and domain target architecture.
• Drive architecture decisions across complex systems, functions, locations and organizations.
• Contribute to solution patterns, reusable building blocks, reference architectures and software-engineering practices.
• Contribute to domain target architectures and technology roadmaps.
• Provide pragmatic architectural recommendations while also being able to deep-dive into implementation challenges.

Essential Skills / Experience:

• Minimum 15 years of IT industry experience.
• Proven Lead Solution Architect experience on large-scale transformation programs, ideally €10M+ initiatives.
• Experience designing and deploying critical transactional systems in large, complex organizations.
• Strong IBM Mainframe experience.
• Strong experience in either Java or Windows/.NET development stacks.
• Good knowledge of Azure Cloud, APIs, integration mechanisms and data technologies.
• Strong architecture and systems-analysis skills across multiple technology domains.
• Ability to work autonomously and translate complex problems into pragmatic, actionable solutions.
• Strong hands-on engineering/delivery background rather than purely governance-focused architecture experience.

Strong Advantages:

• Financial Services / Capital Markets experience and understanding of the regulatory environment.
• Azure/private-cloud architecture experience.
• Event-driven architecture and Kafka.
• Linux/Java development stack.
• Experience creating reference architectures, architecture positioning papers and technology roadmaps.
