I am on the look out for an experience Data Engineer to join my client on a permanent basis to build and scale their data platform. The role focuses on developing robust data pipelines, structuring KPIs, and enabling analytics and GenAI use cases across the business.
Responsibilities
Build and maintain data pipelines from Silver to Gold layers Design and implement KPI calculations in the Gold layer Develop solutions using Databricks and AWS (S3, Redshift) Push curated datasets to Redshift and OpenSearch for analytics and LLM integration Collaborate closely with architects and business stakeholders to align KPI definitions Support early-stage data governance, data quality frameworks, and data cataloging Mentor interns and contribute to best practices in data engineering Requirements 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer Strong Python and PySpark skills Proven experience building ETL/data pipelines on cloud platforms Experience with Databricks and AWS Strong analytical mindset and ability to work independently Excellent communication skills and business-facing experience Fluent English (Dutch or French is a plus) Nice to Have Experience with AWS Glue Exposure to OpenSearch, Redshift, or LLM-enabled data platforms Background in KPI modeling or analytics enablement Working Model Hybrid, ideally 2 days onsite in Brussels
