Our client: A leading telecom operator Job Description : As a fiber consultant you will be part of the Client Fixed Access Engineering Squad that is constantly working with cutting edge and diverse fixed technology. The main responsibilities of the team are situated on the physical layer: the optical network, and the HFC plant and platform running on those access networks. As a senior fiber consultant, you will focus on our vision to expand our fiber network and prepare for fiber-to-the-home connectivity. Key opportunities for the upcoming quarters take place in the following areas: fiber network topology, high- and low-level design, build activities, supporting tools, processes, and documentation. Your tasks : Document and explore multiple options to introduce PON technology in our current fiber network topology, starting from high level design options with their cost implementations, and resulting in design guidelines to support the build organization. Write technical documentation to support our key stakeholdersRequirements to support RFI/RFP. Technical documentation, input for training and trouble-shooting procedures. Instructions for our construction parties starting from design, civil works, fiber blowing, and splicing. Interface with other engineering teams, build organization, and operational teams to acquire requirements and translate them into technical solutions and documentation. Support initiatives to introduce innovative ideas in cooperation with operational & engineering departments.
