Job Title: Java DeveloperJob Location: Brussels, Belgium Job Type: Contract Job Description:The Developer will work on end-to-end (E2E) delivery of banking applications with a strong focus on Java-based microservices architecture. The role involves not only development but also post go-live maintenance and support. The ideal candidate is customer-facing, has strong analytical and Agile experience, and is comfortable working in a large corporate environment while remaining self-driven and independent.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain Java-based applications using microservices architectureDeliver E2E solutions, including post go-live maintenance and supportDevelop and consume Web Services (REST and SOAP)Build, manage, and maintain CI/CD pipelinesDeploy applications and manage repositories in Azure DevOpsParticipate in code reviews and ensure code quality standardsCollaborate with cross-functional Agile teamsEngage with customers and stakeholders as requiredAnalyze technical and functional requirements and summarize key insightsEnsure timely delivery through strong project and time managementEssential Skills & Experience10+ years of overall IT development experienceStrong hands-on experience with:Java 8 or higherSpring BootMicroservices architectureREST & SOAP Web ServicesStrong experience with Azure DevOps (deployments, repositories, code reviews)CI/CD pipeline experience using tools such as JenkinsGood understanding of Git conceptsExperience with Maven build toolWorking knowledge of Docker conceptsHands-on experience with IDEs such as Eclipse and IntelliJStrong Agile/Scrum experienceBanking domain experience is mandatoryExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsCompetenciesDigital: MicroservicesDigital: Spring BootAgile Way of WorkingSoft SkillsStrong written and spoken English communication skillsCustomer-facing experience (mandatory)Strong stakeholder collaboration skillsTeam player with experience in large corporate environmentsAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionExcellent project and time management skills
