Unit Head Marine Crew – Overview Join our Crewing Department in Essen, Belgium—a dynamic hub supporting offshore crewing operations for Allseas. Located in the heart of Essen, our office brings together a dedicated team specialising in HR, Planning, Learning & Development, and Crew Operations. With a strong team of around 50 professionals, we ensure seamless crew management, comprehensive professional development, and strict compliance across our fleet. As Unit Head Marine Crew, you will lead the marine crewing disciplines in HR and planning, ensuring operational excellence across all offshore crewing activities. This role is pivotal in creating synergy within the Crewing Department by working in close partnership with the Unit Heads for Construction Crew and Crew Operations. Together, you will align strategies, share expertise, and deliver the highest level of service to our crew and stakeholders. Your leadership will not only shape mid‑ and long‑term crewing strategies but also foster a culture of collaboration that drives efficiency and consistency across all crewing functions. In this position, you will set the standard for offshore crewing across our fleet, developing Team Leads and specialists, shaping Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and driving continuous improvement across planning, HR, and Learning & Development. You will define crew headcount and skills mix based on operational demand, steer cross‑training and mobility strategies, and chair key interdepartmental meetings. You will ensure crew policies, competency matrices, and training requirements are accurate and consistently applied, while partnering with vessel leadership and external agencies to deliver safe, efficient operations. Responsibilities Lead marine crewing disciplines in HR and planning. Align strategies with Unit Heads for Construction Crew and Crew Operations. Shape Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and drive continuous improvement. Define crew headcount and skills mix based on operational demand. Steer cross‑training and mobility strategies. Strong stakeholder management skills and a pragmatic, solution‑oriented mindset. High integrity and professionalism. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. Fluency in English and proficiency in Microsoft Office (required). Additional languages considered an advantage.
