What your future may hold You will work at the Brussels office, which is part of Eversheds Sutherland’s wider Benelux offering. The team advises clients on both domestic and international matters and collaborates closely with colleagues across the global network. Practice areas include M&A, Banking & Finance, Tax, Litigation, Real Estate & Planning, Employment & Pensions, and Data, Privacy & Technology. Sectors served include Industrials, TMT, Energy, Financial Services, Consumer, and Life Sciences. Role Summary Engage in a wide range of corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, private equity, and corporate reorganisations and restructurings across multiple jurisdictions. Build long‑term client relationships by offering strategic and commercial legal advice to top‑tier multinational clients. Work closely with a small team of senior associates and partner Kristof Slootmans, and regularly collaborate with lawyers across Eversheds Sutherland’s international network. Be a Belgian‑qualified lawyer with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in Corporate M&A, ideally gained at a leading international or well‑regarded local firm. Demonstrate strong drafting skills and proven ability to manage corporate transactions with limited supervision. Show commercial mindset, client focus, strong business acumen, and pragmatic, solution‑oriented judgment in a fast‑paced environment. Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both internally and externally. Be team‑oriented, collaborative, and eager to contribute to a newly restructured, ambitious team; mentoring junior colleagues is a plus.
