General Ledger Accountant

For one of our clients, we are looking for an Accountant with a good level of English for an innovative scale up in Avenue Louise Brussels. As part of our continued growth, we're seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to support our finance team—particularly in managing and optimizing supplier-related accounting processes. Your responsibilities: Primary Focus – General Ledger Accounting Accurately process, review, and record vendor invoices system in a timely manner, ensuring correct coding and compliance with accounting standards. Review and validate employee expense reports for adherence to internal policies, proactively resolving discrepancies, missing documentation, or approval issues. Act as a primary point of contact for invoice- and payment-related inquiries, collaborating with internal stakeholders and external vendors to investigate and resolve issues efficiently. Maintain and regularly review supplier master data, ensuring accuracy, completeness of supporting documentation, and a robust audit trail. Support month-end close activities related to Accounts Payable, including accruals, cut-off procedures, and variance analysis. Perform periodic reconciliations of vendor statements, AP sub-ledgers, and corresponding general ledger accounts, investigating and resolving reconciling items to ensure data integrity. Your profile: Bachelor's in accounting Minimum 3 years of experience in GL Accounting You have an excellent level in French and English Excellent knowledge of BE GAAP You are rigorous, like to work autonomously and open to work in an international environment with multiple cultures Our offer: Competitive salary: The budget is open for discussion and will be aligned with current market standards based on your experience and profile.
