Position: Senior Manager – Data & Process Governance Location: Brussels, Belgium Languages: English + Dutch or French Role Summary We are looking for an experienced professional to take ownership of our end-to-end Source-to-Pay (S2P) activities. This role oversees how the organisation designs, governs, and continually improves its S2P processes and supporting technologies. The S2P framework includes the full lifecycle of sourcing, contracting, purchasing, and payment operations. Scope of the Process Sourcing Activities Identifying and assessing potential suppliers Managing quote requests and competitive bidding Leading negotiations and preparing agreements Contract Lifecycle Drafting, approving, and maintaining supplier contracts Monitoring compliance and contract renewals Procure-to-Pay Execution Creating purchase requests and orders Validating goods and services received Checking invoices and coordinating payments This role is central to major SAP transformation projects, ensuring that business needs are reflected in system design and that the process brings value to Procurement, Finance, and Logistics. Main Responsibilities 1. Process Leadership & Design Define, maintain, and continuously refine the global S2P operating model in line with SAP standards. Drive global harmonisation of procedures across all teams. Maintain all documentation, including process flows, controls, and performance indicators. 2. Continuous Improvement & Innovation Spot opportunities for automation, simplification, and digital enablement (e.g., e-invoicing, OCR). Track new industry and SAP developments such as AI-driven invoice processing. Initiate and coordinate pilot projects to test new tools or methods. 3. Contribution to Functional Design Represent the S2P area within the organisation's design governance board. Review, challenge, and approve functional solution proposals. Work closely with SAP and IT specialists to ensure designs are scalable and realistic. Consolidate and prioritise process and system requirements. 4. Collaboration Across Functions Act as the main connection point for teams in Procurement, Finance, Logistics, and IT. Organise workshops to gather input, align stakeholders, and secure decisions. 5. Change Enablement Analyse business impacts of upcoming changes. Support communication and learning initiatives to ensure smooth adoption of new ways of working. Promote consistent use of SAP and adherence to defined standards. 6. Data Governance Safeguard data quality and consistency for all S2P-related master and transactional data. Work with data teams on standards, governance, cleansing, and migration activities. Validate migrated data during system go-lives. 7. Compliance & Internal Controls Ensure that processes meet regulatory, audit, and internal control requirements. Track core KPIs, including purchase order compliance and invoice processing metrics. Provide evidence and documentation during audits. 8. Implementation Support Mobilise the right resources throughout design, build, testing, and deployment phases. Validate proposed solutions and ensure they meet all S2P requirements. Approve final go-live readiness for S2P-related components. Required Background At least 7 years of experience managing S2P processes, ideally in an international organisation. Strong knowledge of SAP (preferably S/4HANA), including key modules such as MM and FI. Proven track record in major ERP or finance transformation projects. Excellent communication and stakeholder-management capabilities. Key Internal Partners Finance: Ensuring accuracy in invoicing, payments, and compliance. IT / SAP Teams: Collaboration on design, testing, and issue resolution. Procurement: Aligning procurement strategies with operational processes. Design Governance Board: Reviewing and approving system and process changes. Change & Training Teams: Supporting rollouts and adoption.
