Objectives of this role:
- Collaborate with the regional finance director to deliver comprehensive financial updates to regional management, encompassing evaluation, analysis, and reporting of pertinent data points.
- Provide guidance for financial decisions by aligning with company policies and procedures within the current economic landscape.
- Reports variances of revenue, OPEX, direct margin, or investment/contract to provide an accurate financial situation with identification of risk and opportunity.
- Develop, deploy, and uphold financial controls and guidelines to ensure compliance and efficiency.
- Attain budgeting objectives through strategic scheduling, meticulous analysis, and proactive corrective measures.
- Contribute to the formulation and reinforcement of both short- and long-term operational strategies.
- Enforce uniformity in accounting policies, practices, and procedures across all programs, while staying abreast of national and local legal standards and potential legislative changes.
- Analyze, recommend, and approve investments or profitability for complex files or projects, selecting those that support the company's strategy and optimize its commercial position.
- Initiate, coordinate, and track financial process improvements and ensure respect for financial standards and best practices.
What you bring to the table:
- 5 years of professional accounting experience.
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in finance, accounting, or related field.
- Professional certification, such as ITAA (Institute for Tax Advisers and Accountants).
- Strong understanding of financial processes and financial data analysis.
- Working knowledge of Belgian tax regulations and compliance reporting.
- Experience with streamlining accounting processes.
- Demonstrated history of successful financial project management.
