Learn more at About the Role Our Brussels office is seeking a Junior Associate (1–3 years PQE) to join our Intellectual Property (IP) Team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to build a strong foundation in IP law while working on cutting-edge matters for leading national and international clients. Key Responsibilities Assisting on IP advisory and contentious matters, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, and designs Supporting IP litigation and enforcement proceedings before Belgian courts and, where relevant, EU courts Conducting legal research and drafting memoranda, pleadings, and client advice Assisting with IP portfolio management, licensing, and commercial agreements Monitoring developments in Belgian, EU, and international IP law Supporting senior team members on complex, cross-border IP matters Qualifications Belgian law degree (Master in Law) Admitted to the Belgian Bar (or in the process of admission) Strong academic background with an interest in intellectual property law Prior internship or traineeship in IP law is an asset Required Skills & Profile Strong analytical, drafting, and research skills Excellent command of Dutch and English; good knowledge of French is an asset Interest in innovation, technology, and creative industries Proactive, motivated, and eager to learn Team player with strong organisational skills and attention to detail Why Join Bird & Bird?
