Enterprise Architect – IT Portfolio and Roadmap Management
Overview:
A Brussels company is seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect to strengthen its IT architecture team. The role focuses on managing the application portfolio and developing IT roadmaps to support strategic business objectives. Experience in the energy sector and expertise in transformations during mergers are considered a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Translating corporate strategies into application management strategies, IT roadmaps, and business capability models.
- Developing architecture and functional designs to support business goals.
- Communicating application strategies to stakeholders within the organization.
- Analyzing and documenting the current IT landscape using surveys and assessments.
- Conducting trade-off analyses (e.g., ATAM) to formulate actionable recommendations.
- Collaborating with application owners and stakeholders to maintain the application portfolio.
- Collecting and processing cost-related application information using methods such as CBAM.
- Maintaining application maps for all IT architecture layers (applications, technology, data, and integration).
- Managing the architecture decisions repository.
- Validating recommendations with senior business and IT management.
- Developing an integrated IT roadmap that aligns projects and programs with business objectives.
- Integrating architecture-related processes with other IT management processes, such as Project Portfolio Management and IT Service Management.
Profile:
- At least 10 years of experience in an Enterprise Architecture role.
- A proactive and self-reliant approach, with strong collaboration skills at all organizational levels.
- Expertise in IT processes and methodologies, including ITIL, TOGAF, ArchiMate, and Domain-Driven Design.
- Knowledge of cloud-native architecture patterns, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
- Familiarity with reference architectures and frameworks such as Gartner TIME.
- Experience with modeling tools like Sparx Enterprise Architect or similar software.
- Excellent presentation and teamwork skills.
- Added value: experience in mergers and transformation projects, and delivering IT solutions in an agile environment.
- Language skills: fluency in English is mandatory. Proficiency in Dutch and/or French is required, while German is a plus.
