Accounting Specialist

Accounting Specialist Competitive salary plus benefits Belgium | Brussels | Hybrid Talent Precision Group is partnering with a global financial services firm to recruit an Accounting Specialist for its growing finance team. The business operates internationally in a fast paced, technology driven environment, supporting high volume activity. This role sits within the Finance function and reports to the Accounting Manager, with responsibility for the day to day accounting of the Belgian entity and support across group level reporting and consolidation. The position offers hands on ownership, exposure to crypto related accounting, and the opportunity to work within a modern finance team undergoing system and process transformation. Responsibilities Own full cycle bookkeeping for the Belgian entity under Belgian GAAP Perform monthly bank and crypto wallet reconciliations across multi currency fiat accounts and on ramp and off ramp transactions Prepare and file monthly VAT returns and support basic corporate tax processes Perform quarterly intercompany reconciliations Post and reconcile trading revenues, fees, rebates, and staking rewards Support month end close activities, group consolidation, and flux analysis Assist with statutory accounts preparation and annual audit processes Act as the primary point of contact with the Belgian social secretariat and external accounting partners Support finance process automation and the migration of accounting workflows to NetSuite Contribute to ad hoc accounting analysis and finance projects Qualifications 1 to 5 years of relevant accounting or bookkeeping experience under Belgian GAAP Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent qualification Hands on experience with Odoo or transferable experience with similar ERP systems Strong knowledge of Belgian VAT and core accounting principles Fluent in French and or Dutch with professional level English Highly detail oriented, structured, and comfortable working with large transaction volumes Eligible to work in Belgium (EU citizenship or valid work permit) Nice to Have Experience with crypto wallets and crypto accounting tools such as Cryptio Exposure to IFRS and or MiCA related reporting Interest in automation, process improvement, or basic scripting such as Python or Excel VBA Previous experience in a scale up, fintech, trading, or digital asset environment Talent Precision Group is dedicated to fostering a culture of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion.
