As a Property Underwriter you will underwrite Japanese Property Business for the Belgian Branch and for the Netherlands Branch. This will involve effective servicing of customers, maintenance of existing accounts, selection of new accounts and development of relationship with brokers. You will handle policy alterations, prepare and authorize new business quotations, attend broker meetings, negotiate revised terms where appropriate, inform Team Leader / Head of P&C / CUO of important underwriting developments in your market. Key Responsibilities: Underwrite J Property Business in line with the Underwriting guidelines and Authority Level Ensure close communication with Business Development, Head Office TMNF Colleagues Underwriters, CUO, Head of P&C and Branch Manager Build / maintain close relationship with the brokers Ensure timely and accurate reporting (internal and external) Ensure timely and accurate DAMP treatment Ensure timely and accurate Fac RI treatment Ensure that the policy wordings are in line with the market practice and with the company requirement Ensure close cooperation with Risk Engineering and ensure follow up of recommendations Build adequate technical pricing for each policy Run peer reviews following the guideline Ensure adequate data quality management Monitor the underwriting performance and take adequate actions if needed Attend meetings with clients, brokers, and business partners Attend seminars and courses Follow & Share market trends Supervise tasks carried out by the UW Assistant To manage/complete any special assignment or project assigned by the Branch Manager To manage working relationships with internal and external contacts Skills And Competencies Required: Master degree and/or certification in the industry Minimum 5 years of experience in Property Underwriting Fluent in French and Dutch and English Strong Excel skills Good communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work autonomously as well as in a team Benefits The Tokio Marine HCC Group of Companies offers a competitive salary and employee benefit package.
