ASIC Project Manager - ASIC Circuit Design / ASIC Test / ASIC Packaging Assembly

Location: Belgium, Leuven - flexible hybrid work
Type: Freelance
We are looking for an experienced ASIC Project Manager to lead complex semiconductor development projects from initial concept through to silicon delivery. You would be coming in to lead a new product department focused on multiple projects including some exciting AI related projects due to an increase in demand for business in AI infrastructure. You'll work closely with cross-functional engineering teams across ASIC design, verification, architecture, physical design and manufacturing, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage ASIC development projects from specification through to tape-out and silicon validation
- Own project schedules, milestones, budgets, risks and dependencies
- Coordinate teams across RTL design, verification, physical design, DFT, validation and hardware
- Manage project priorities and communicate progress to senior stakeholders
- Identify and mitigate technical, resource and delivery risks
- Work closely with internal engineering teams and external suppliers/foundries
- Drive project meetings, reporting and delivery plans
Essential Experience
- Proven experience managing ASIC semiconductor development projects
- Strong understanding of the end to end ASIC development lifecycle
- Knowledge of the ASIC flow
- Strong project planning, risk management and stakeholder management skills
- Experience managing complex technical projects with multiple dependencies
- Strong communication skills and the ability to operate effectively with both technical and senior stakeholders
- Experience with either ASIC Testing, ASIC Circuit Design or ASIC Packaging Assembly.
