We have an exciting opportunity for one of our sector leading customers based in Brussels for a 12-month freelance project. Competitive market rate 12 month contract Hybrid - 1 day per week in office in Brussels Role & Responsibilities Design, build, and maintain robust data infrastructures and pipelines across multiple projects. Collaborate closely with data scientists, BI specialists, and other stakeholders to improve efficiency and scalability of data processing. Actively contribute to discussions around data capture strategies, KPIs, and metrics definition. Evaluate, select, and implement new data processing technologies, ensuring secure handling of highly sensitive data. Communicate proactively with project teams to support effective decision-making and cross-functional collaboration. Mentor and support junior team members in their day-to-day activities. Manage multiple complex projects in parallel, demonstrating leadership, coaching, and ownership. Leverage enterprise data and knowledge to help clients evolve into insight-driven organisations, covering the full data lifecycle: data architecture, business intelligence, machine learning, data science, visualization, and reporting. Enable business growth for top-tier clients by delivering high-quality, data-driven solutions that create meaningful experiences for employees and customers. Apply your expertise to contribute to the successful delivery of client projects and long-term partnerships. About You Master's degree in IT, (Business) Engineering, Sciences, or equivalent relevant technical experience. Minimum 3 years of experience in data processing and building analytical pipelines for large-scale data, relational databases, and data warehouse solutions. Strong proficiency in SQL and Python. Experience with cloud platforms is a strong asset. Strong interest in both technology and business impact. Solid understanding of data modelling and data architecture principles. Client-oriented mindset with excellent communication skills. Flexible, agile, and enthusiastic about collaboration in multidisciplinary teams. Analytical, critical thinker with a creative, out-of-the-box approach to problem solving. Fluent in Dutch and/or French, with a good command of English.
