We are currently looking for a Team Leader Groups & Events to join our dynamic team at our Service & Support Centre.

Do

  1. Manage. You will manage a team of 2-3 persons in the fields of group and events reservations. You oversee groups & events, convert customer inquiries into confirmed sales, attain department budget, develop and grow the team by training and giving clear targets, schedule daily and holiday planning. You have the ability to manage multiple events and people simultaneously.
  2. Represent: You represent the MICE Office towards our clients but as well towards Thon Hotels, the Residences and the other centralized departments (revenue, sales, marketing, HR, accounting).
  3. Implement & integrate: You are in charge of implementing new policies and procedures which facilitate the daily work and optimize the client service being the contact person for all updates within Thon Hotels.
  4. Recognize: You identify opportunities to maximize revenue by up-selling, cross selling and enhance collaboration with other departments, Operations, Sales and Revenue to conclude business.
  5. Monitor: You convert and exceed budgeted MICE budget, ensure customer satisfaction and gather feedback and data after an event.
  6. Communicate: You set clear objectives to the team and liaise with all hotel planners in regards to general changes which affect MICE business of the Group.
  7. Participate actively: You take part to all HOD meetings and revenue meetings.
  8. Report: Directly to the Head of Commercial Services.

  4. Communicator. You have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, French and Dutch; other languages are a plus.
  5. Experience. Sales experience in the hotel sector is certainly an advantage.
  6. Flexible. You adapt easily to people and situations and you have the ability to reflect and consider ways to improve.
