Wat doe je als Software engineer Big data?
- Je ontwerpt, ontwikkelt en onderhoudt automation frameworks en big dataoplossingen. Je doet dit met behulp van industry standard tools en technologie (Spark, Linux, Hadoop, Snowflake, Azure Synapse).
- Je analyseert technologieën om na te gaan hoe we ze kunnen gebruiken in onze platformen.
- Je schrijft duidelijke documentatie over de gebouwde oplossingen zodat de eindgebruikers vlot aan de slag kunnen.
- Je verdiept je in de integratie van applicaties met andere platformen of pakketten in ons IT-landschap en zorgt voor een vlekkeloos verloop van de uitrol van de oplossing naar productie.
- Als software engineer sta je ook paraat bij incidenten. Je analyseert wat er misging, je stelt een oplossing voor, implementeert die en volgt op.
- Je werkt nauw samen met andere experts om de projectdoelstellingen op een kwalitatieve manier te bereiken.
Kennis en ervaring
- Je hebt een bachelor- of masterdiploma in Computerwetenschappen of engineering of een gelijkwaardige ervaring. Je hebt een uitstekende kennis van MS Azure, Databricks, Spark, Python, Snowflake en Gitlab. Ook heb je ervaring met moderne schedulers zoals Airflow. Ervaring met Cloudera en werken in een devOps omgeving is een pluspunt.
- Analytisch vermogen - Je behoudt moeiteloos het overzicht en focust op de hoofdlijnen zonder hierbij de details uit het oog te verliezen.
- Oplossingsgericht - Je denkt in termen van oplossingen en hebt altijd een plan B klaar.
- Teamplayer - Regelmatig samenwerken met andere experts geeft je energie. Maar je kunt ook perfect zelfstandig aan de slag.
- Communicatief - Je bent in staat je boodschap helder over te brengen naar je stakeholders, zowel gesproken als geschreven.
- Talenkennis - Je communiceert vlot in het Engels, zo kun je makkelijk met iedereen communiceren, ook met je collega's in India. Kennis van het Nederlands is een plus.
