To support this journey, we are looking for a senior back-end engineer to strengthen our team in our Ghent or Veurne office. As we grow, our ability to move fast without breaking things depends on how well our systems support the people using them. Your mission is to ensure that the digital plumbing behind our workflows is strong, elegant, and adaptable. You will play a central role in shaping how information flows, how processes scale, and how humans and software collaborate across the entire revenue journey. requirements You’re a systems-minded engineer with a deep understanding of how commercial, operational, and finance teams function, and a passion for helping them run smarter, faster, and more reliably. You thrive in the technical details of ERP and CRM platforms, with a particular focus on building robust systems that power sales, customer operations, and revenue workflows. Whether your background is in solution architecture, ERP/CRM engineering, or backend development, what sets you apart is your ability to think holistically about processes and data flows. You know how to identify what truly drives impact, and you leverage technology to build scalable, efficient systems that form a strong operational backbone. You bring maturity, independence, and ownership. Preferably also: Strong business acumen and familiarity with commercial processes like quoting, sales ops, and order management Confidence working directly with non-technical stakeholders (Sales, Ops, Founders) Deep experience with ERP systems, preferably Odoo, including custom model development, workflow design, and business logic implementation Proficiency with Python and scripting for automation and customization A passion for clean, simple, maintainable systems The ability to connect dots across departments, identify cross-functional themes, and help shape a forward-looking roadmap A deep fascination with AI, and a desire to work in an environment that encourages open experimentation and exploration what you will do Own the backend toolstack and define the architectural roadmap for internal systems Translate high-level requirements from Sales, Operations, and Finance into scalable, elegant technical solutions Lead system integration projects related to M&A, consolidating tools and workflows across acquired entities Build and maintain integrations between Odoo and external platforms (e.g. CRM, e-signature, billing) using APIs and SDKs Drive automation and tooling initiatives to optimize and scale commercial operations Design and launch experiments aimed at improving team efficiency and operational effectiveness what we offer A company where you will quickly feel at home due to the warm working atmosphere and where ambition comes first.
