A major global technology services provider is seeking an experienced IT Resilience & Continuity Specialist for a 12-month freelance engagement, with a high likelihood of extension. This mission is ideal for a hands-on technical resilience expert who excels in designing realistic cyber-resilience scenarios and developing operational continuity capabilities across complex enterprise environments.Job Title: IT Resilience & Continuity Specialist (BCM) Location: Brussels, Belgium – HybridStart Date: ASAPKey ResponsibilitiesDevelop technical continuity and resilience strategies across critical IT environments, infrastructure, and cybersecurity domains.Design realistic, scenario-based resilience simulations (e.g., malware intrusion, lateral movement, ransomware impact, service disruption).Build incident response pathways and actionable recovery playbooks for cyber and infrastructure disruptions.Collaborate with cybersecurity, network, and infrastructure teams to ensure end-to-end resilience coverage.Assess technology stacks and identify failure points, dependencies, and single points of risk.Support the development of technical continuity plans aligned with enterprise architecture, IT security standards, and operational requirements.Facilitate resilience exercises and post-incident reviews to drive continuous improvement.Advise stakeholders on best practices in cyber response, resilience engineering, and technology continuity.Requirements5+ years of experience in IT resilience, cybersecurity engineering, or technical continuity roles.Strong understanding of modern IT architecture, infrastructure, and cyber defense practices (cloud, networks, endpoints, SOC processes).Proven experience building scenario-based recovery or cyber response models—not traditional BCP/DRP/BIA only.Ability to translate technical risks into actionable operational strategies.Solid knowledge of malware attack paths, cybersecurity incident lifecycle, and containment strategies.Familiarity with enterprise-scale environments and high-security sectors.Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional technical and security teams.French speaking is a strong bonus.
