BI Technical Consultant – 9altitudes Belgium We are looking for a BI Technical Consultant to work with a team of experts, build a digital future and develop technical expertise in Microsoft BI technologies. Responsibilities Design, develop and implement scalable BI solutions translating raw data into insights. Build, manage and optimize data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric components such as OneLake, Data Factory and Synapse Data Engineering. Set up and improve data‑warehousing solutions with performance, scalability and reliability in mind. Develop interactive reports and dashboards in Power BI to support decision making. Implement and monitor data governance, security and compliance best practices, including Microsoft Purview. Translate business stakeholder requirements into concrete technical BI solutions. Keep up to date on Microsoft Fabric, Azure data services and AI assistants such as Copilot and apply them in projects. Actively share knowledge, best practices and innovations within the team and the 9A community, and contribute to international collaboration. Qualifications Proven experience as BI Developer, Data Engineer, Data Analyst or a similar role with a strong focus on Microsoft technologies. In‑depth, practical experience with Microsoft Fabric and its core components (OneLake, Data Factory, Synapse Data Engineering, Synapse Data Warehouse, Power BI) – a requirement. Strong skills in SQL, data modelling, and knowledge of Python/Scala is a plus. Analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills; experience translating business requirements into technical solutions. Fluency in English and Dutch; knowledge of data governance, AI tools such as Copilot and relevant Microsoft certifications is a plus.
