*FREELANCE* Senior AI Engineer Location: Antwerp (Hybrid) Contract: 12 months + extensions Start: January / ASAP Language: Dutch (fluent) + English (fluent) Role Overview A leading logistics company is looking for a Senior AI Engineer to develop and scale AI solutions that improve planning, automation, and operational efficiency. You will work closely with data teams and operational stakeholders to deliver high-impact, production-ready AI systems. Responsibilities Build and deploy AI/ML models for logistics optimisation (forecasting, routing, automation). Develop scalable pipelines and model-serving infrastructure. Collaborate with data scientists to industrialise models. Translate business needs into technical AI solutions. Integrate AI systems into existing logistics applications and workflows. Ensure quality, monitoring, and continuous improvement of deployed models. Profile 5+ years of experience in AI/ML engineering. Strong Python and cloud experience (Azure/AWS/GCP). Experience with MLOps, pipelines, CI/CD, APIs. Background in optimisation, forecasting, or operational AI is a plus. Strong communication skills and ability to work with business stakeholders. Dutch speaking.
