🚀 Senior Data Engineer – Azure & Databricks (Contract) 📍 Brussels (2 days on-site per week) 📅 6-month contract 🏦 Leading Banking Client We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to support a sector-leading banking organization on a high-impact data transformation programme. This role offers the opportunity to work on modern, cloud-based data platforms within a complex and regulated Financial Services environment. Key Responsibilities Design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines on Microsoft Azure Develop and maintain data solutions using Databricks (PySpark / Spark) Work with structured and semi-structured data in enterprise data lake architectures Collaborate with architects, analysts, and stakeholders to deliver business-critical data products Ensure data quality, performance, security, and governance standards are met Required Skills & Experience Proven experience as a Senior Data Engineer Strong hands-on expertise with Azure (ADLS, Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL) Extensive experience with Databricks and PySpark Solid understanding of data warehousing, ETL/ELT, and data modelling Experience working in Financial Services / Banking environments Comfortable working in hybrid mode (2 days per week on-site in Brussels ) Contract Details Location: Brussels (hybrid – 2 days on-site) Duration: 6 months (extension likely) Start: ASAP Rate: Competitive, based on experience 👉 This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-performing team delivering enterprise-scale data solutions for a top-tier banking client.
